February's
trip will be cabin camping in the snow at Onteora Scout Reservation in
the Catskills. The sledding is always great at this popular
trip. Permission slips will be available shortly. There is
a limited capacity at Onteora, so be sure to get the form back early. |
 |
Did you
know Troop 166 had three new Eagle Scouts in January. Check the
Eagle page to find out who. |
 |
The
troop calendar contains dates for the monthly
events planned by the Patrol Leader's Council. Be sure to note the
dates so you are available for our exciting 2009-10 programs.
|
 |
Please
save your blue
Acme supermarket receipts and bring them to any troop meeting or
send them to Carmen Drew. Acme generously donates a percentage back to
the troop. |
 |
The
Troop Equipment page tells you
everything you need to do when you take equipment home after a trip.
There are also instruction sheets for tents and other equipment. |
 |
Scouts
working on Tenderfoot - 1st class requirements should read the
Troop
Guidelines for Tenderfoot - 1st Class. The guide lists all
of the requirements with explanations, notes and page references to
the Scout handbook. This is a must read for new scouts and parents. |
 |
You can
work on merit badges throughout the year. For helpful
information you may want to look at the
Introduction to Merit Badges. If you need a merit badge
pamphlet, check out the
troop library. |
